Meet The Team: Erin

We want to give you the opportunity to get to know the Clinetix team! Over the next couple of months, we will be speaking to members of the team so you can get to know them better. First to take the spotlight is our Training & Development Manager Erin!

So, tell us about yourself Erin.

Hello everyone!

Many of you may already know me but my name is Erin and I am from sunny Dalry in Ayrshire.

Lots of you think I’m crazy to travel through to Bothwell every day but I love my job and the drive lets me set up for the day or chills me out after a long day.

As many of you will know, I had a wee baby girl in May last year and so have been off on maternity leave.

So, I’m really excited to be returning to the clinic for the post-lockdown reopening on the 26th April.

What do you do at Clinetix?

I am the Training and Development Manager for the clinics. I started working at Clinetix in August 2015 when I moved back from London and I have never looked back since!

I have a real passion for education and work closely with the Clinetix Clinical Directors to ensure the team’s knowledge and skills remain at the forefront of the aesthetic industry. I combine my role in continuous professional development of the wider team with still being ‘hands on’ as an expert Clinical Aesthetician. This helps ensure that we continue to offer the best, most cutting-edge treatments and allows me to bring the best protocols in the industry to the Clinetix clinics.

How have you progressed whilst working at Clinetix?

I started out at Clinetix as a Therapist before progressing to Senior Therapist and finally onto Training and Development Manager.

Working as the Training and Development Manager lets me keep hands on in a training sense and work alongside our amazing team to help them refine their skills.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love the array of different people I get to meet and make an impact on their self-esteem through improving their skin! Also working alongside the best team. It always sounds cheesy but having a work family like ours makes the job so much more fun.

What award were you nominated for?

At the end of last year, I was nominated for “Best Aesthetic Therapist” at the Global My Face My Body Awards. I was awarded ‘Highly Commended’ (2nd place). Pipped to the post!

I entered the awards as I really wanted to push myself and be judged on what kind of therapist I was.

Within this industry, there are so many levels of skill and knowledge and I wanted to prove all my hard work was worth it.

What are looking forward to returning from Maternity Leave?

After this long period of extended lockdown, I am really looking forward to the clinic reopening in a COVID-safe way on 26th April and getting back to what we do best – giving you a boost of confidence by making your skin look and feel great!

I’m also really looking forward to getting a HydraFacial as having a baby really takes its toll on your skin!

I now have first-hand experience of how hormonal changes affect your skin during and after pregnancy and can really relate to any new mum’s struggling with dramatic changes to their skin.
