Chemical Peels

Skin peels or chemical peels are a popular and effective way of improving the quality and appearance of your skin. They can be used to improve fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, rough skin surface, acne and acne scarring, rosacea, pores, and decreased luminosity.

Skin and Chemical Peels

Most superficial chemical peels are completely painless. A solution is applied to the skin for a set length of time. It is normal for skin to feel warm or hot as the solution is applied, and a little tight for a few days afterwards.

CHEMICAL PEELS

Body Chemical Peels

Chemical peels don't need to be used exclusively for the face, as body peels can be an effective method of targeting skin concerns on other areas of the body. Body chemical peels can help address acne and acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and the overall texture of the skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Chemical Peels consist of a solution that is applied to a selected area of the skin, which contain active ingredients in order to remove dead skin cells, stimulate new cell growth and improve the overall appearance of the skin.

Chemical peels can be tailored to your skin concern and be used accordingly. This may be to reduce and improve acne or acne scarring, whilst aiding congested skin. They may also be used to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, or a rough and uneven skin texture.

Here at Clinetix we always stress the importance of having a consultation before you start your treatments. This means that not only will you receive a better outcome, but any concerns or post-treatment considerations can also be addressed. It is also important that a trained professional will conduct your treatment session, particularly as in-clinic chemical peels will contain higher concentrations of active ingredients then over-the-counter chemical peels.

Enerpeel, our chemical peel of choice, has been specifically formulated to reduce skin peeling whilst allowing for greater absorption into the deeper layers of the skin. These peels have also been developed to reduce the appearance of redness usually associated with chemical peels, allowing for minimal downtime along with minimal skin peeling.

Chemical Peels are often a great place to start when addressing fine lines and wrinkles, as they are effective at targeting the superficial layers of the skin.  The Enerpeel PA in particular can be used to target these early signs of ageing, as it contains the active ingredient of Pyruvic Acid in a patented skin remodelling solution, which can also be used to address hyperpigmentation and oily skin.

How can we help you?

Deeper skin peels give superior rejuvenation but also greater peeling effects and up to one week of downtime. You may need a numbing cream or anaesthetic injections before application.

If chemical peels are suggested as part of your treatment plan, we will explain all the options and processes, including skin care before and after treatment.
