Erase unwanted tattoos for a new start. At Clinetix, we use the M22 Q-Switch ND-YAG technology to remove black, blue and other dark tattoos. The non-invasive laser based treatment will gradually and gently reveal skin, for noticeable results with minimal downtime. Tattoo removal is currently available at Clinetix Bothwell.
The M22 Q-Switch technology allows us to tailor the treatment according to the type of tattoo, to effectively target the dark pigment and destroy it. Ultrashort laser pulses target the tattoo ink in the skin and break it into small particles that are naturally dissolved by your body, whilst the surrounding skin is left intact.
A change in the colour intensity of the tattoo may be visible immediately after the first treatment. A course of treatments will be required for best results.
The number of treatmetns needed depends ont he areas of the body, skin colour and the tattoo itself. The number of treatments required start from 2-3 up to 10 in some cases. Treatments are typically spaced 6-10 weeks apart.
Immediately following treatment, you will likely see white bubbles on the treated tattoo area, accompanied by some mild redness and swelling which should resolve within 24 hours. A think crust will appear over the treated area and will fall off in around 2 weeks. Fading of the tattoo is gradual and will be noticed in the following weeks.
During the treatment you will feel heat on the tattoo area, and may experience a feeling similar to a plaster being ripped off.
The treatment will take between 15-45 minutes, dependent of the size of the tattoo being treated.
The laser nanon-second pulses, shutter the tattoo ink into very small particles, which our bodies can dispense of. Since there is a photo-acustic effect, you can hear popping sounds of the ink particles bursting during the treatment. This effect is very selective to the ink and will not harm the surrounding skin.
