We understand that lips should look natural, contoured and defined. Our lip filler treatments are individually designed to address volume, support, definition and texture to create a truly beautiful lip appearance. Before treatment a consultation with one of our medical team is required to assess your expectations, and to discuss a lip rejuvenation enhancement treatment specific to your needs.
Treatments are usually performed after a dental anaesthetic, to ensure a comfortable experience. Clinetix uses the advanced Belotero lips dermal fillers, designed to integrate with the structures of the lips for a harmonious balanced outcome.
We provide lip fillers in Glasgow at our clinics in Hyndland and Mitchell Lane. The treatment takes 15 minutes. Immediately after treatment there may be swelling that usually resolves in less than a day. Lip fillers usually last for about 12 months.
Natural looking lips
The biggest concern most people who request this treatment have is that they will end up with an overfilled, fake look. Words like duck lips and trout pout are often used. We offer the reassurance that in order to achieve an overfilled fake appearance we will often require several syringes of filler. At Clinetix most simple lip enhancements can be done with just 1 syringe, leaving a subtly enhanced appearance that can be added to later if the desire for bigger lips is present.
Before & After
Frequently asked questions
How does it work?
After getting in touch you will have a consultation with one of our medically qualified and highly experienced injectors. This will allow us to ensure that the treatment is the right one for you and that there are no medical issues that might complicate the treatment. Pre-treatment photographs are taken as part of your medical record and these can be used both for treatment planning and as a base record to compare with future photographs to assess the improvement.
Does it hurt?
No, the lip is a very sensitive area of the face so treatments are always done after the injections of anaesthetic to completely numb the area. We prefer to perform the lip filler treatments under a dental anaesthetic rather than a numbing cream as it provides a much better anaesthesia meaning you shouldn’t experience any painful sensation at all.
How do you actually do it?
Instead of multiple injections with a needle, we prefer to place the dermal filler using a cannula. This is a much safer technique and has a much lower chance of causing any bruising. A small puncture is made at the side of the lip and the cannula slides through this puncture into the correct layer of the lip, allowing controlled and precise placement.
What brand of lip fillers do you use?
We can use a variety of dermal fillers for lip enhancement including Teosyal, Juvederm, Restylane and Belotero. We perform most of our lip enhancements with the Belotero brand. In our experience we have found this product provides a long lasting and natural looking and feeling result, with less swelling.
What can I expect afterwards?
After the treatment the lips will feel numb for about an hour or so. This is due to the action of the local anaesthetic we use. When the anaesthetic wears off there is typically no pain but any slight discomfort can be treated with simple pain killers such as paracetamol. You typically get a small amount of swelling that resolves within a few hours. Swelling can be helped by using ice packs if it persists longer than that.
