Want a “Daly” Dose of Looking Great?

With the start of the new season of Strictly Come Dancing, Tess Daly is back on our screens every Saturday night, gracing us with her stunning looks and northern charm. It’s hard to believe she’s 52, but she is. And Clinetix knows her secret to turning back the clock on skin ageing. In this month’s blog, Dr Emma Ravichandran BDS MFDS reveals all about Tess’s favourite treatment, which is now available at Clinetix. Read on to find out more…

Tess is openly a fan of Ultherapy®, the latest addition to the Clinetix portfolio. In fact, she loved the treatment so much, she became the brand ambassador for it!

As co-host of BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing fans of the show can see, first-hand, just how amazing Tess looks.  Dubbed ‘Miss Sunshine’ by the late, great Bruce Forsyth, Tess has been a staple figure on our screens for over 20 years. Her glamour and warm, friendly, style are aspirational for women of all ages, making her a fantastic ambassador for what a bit of ‘lifting’ can do. On revealing that she is a fan of the treatment she joked that “laughter lines are an occupational hazard” and, she wanted to do something about them!

Tess’s Ultherapy® Journey

Tess originally discovered Ultherapy® through a friend. She said, “My friend looked incredible and I thought, OK, I want a bit of that!”

Within a few months of having treatment, Tess was getting her own compliments from friends.

Five Reasons Why Tess Loves Ultherapy®

1. It lifts and sculpts with natural looking results
Ultherapy® is not going to change your appearance or make you look like a different version of yourself. It’s a treatment that makes you look fresher.

2. It’s an investment in the future of your skin
It is a treatment you can have once a year or once every 18 months that helps to lift and boost your own skin.

3. There’s minimal downtime
Ultherapy® is a completely non-invasive treatment so there’s little to no recovery time required following treatment.

4. You can tailor the treatment to suit your needs and budget
If you’re working to a budget, you can use it as a targeted treatment on smaller areas.

5. Results appear gradually
You will just look like you have the best skin you’ve had in a long time.

What Ultherapy® Treatments Has Tess Had?

Tess was already a fan of Ultherapy® before coming on board with @MerzAesthetics as the brand ambassador. She initially had a full face Ultherapy® treatment in 2019 and then she had a top-up treatment a year later, targeting the area around her jawline.

Natural and Non-Surgical Facelifting

Ultherapy® is a completely revolutionary aesthetic treatment, with ‘no needles’ involved. It offers a non-invasive option for non-surgical facelifting and it’s been dubbed ‘the lunchtime’ treatment as appointments can be done in an hour (depending on the extent of the area being treated).

Although Ultherapy® is a great option for those looking for non-surgical facelifting (for lifting and tightening the skin on the face and neck), you don’t have to target the full face. Using its precision targeting micro-focused ultrasound with visualisation technology (MFU-V), Ultherapy® can be used to target smaller zones to suit your problem areas and budget.

Dr Emma Ravichandran BDS MFDS comments:

“Ultherapy® works really well for full facial rejuvenation but equally it delivers great results on smaller treatment zones. It can be used to target specific areas where you want to achieve a lifting or tightening effect. It is commonly used as a non-surgical alternative to a surgical ‘brow lift’ to rejuvenate the periorbital area (around the eye) or for a ‘jowl lift’ for better definition and sculpting of the jawline.”

She adds,” We’re always really grateful when celebrities like Tess speak openly about having aesthetic procedures, like Ultherapy® as it lets people see that you can turn back the clock on skin ageing whilst keeping the results true to yourself and really natural looking. Due to the way the treatment works, naturally within your body to stimulate growth of new collagen and elastin, results improve gradually over time. You will look like yourself, but just on a really good day – fresh-faced and more youthful.”

How Does Ultherapy® Work?

Ultherapy® uses precision-targeted ultrasound heat energy to initiate the body’s healing response, triggering the production of new collagen and elastin.  This new collagen growth leads to skin lifting and tightening which gradually improves over time, with visible improvements that can even be seen a year after treatment.

Unlike other non-surgical facelifting techniques, like ‘liquid’ facelifts, Ultherapy® will not produce an instant result. As it works by stimulating regeneration of collagen and elastin, it takes time to work. However, results from Ultherapy® are progressive – they will continue to improve for a few months after treatment, with the optimum result expected six months after treatment.

Beware of Imitations

Ultherapy® is the gold standard treatment for non-surgical lifting and tightening. It is the only non-invasive treatment of its kind that has been cleared by the FDA (one of the world’s most stringent regulatory bodies for ensuring the safety and efficacy of products and medical devices) and is CE-certified in Europe. If you are considering undergoing Ultherapy® treatment then you should make sure that the clinic carries the Ultherapy® Seal of Authenticity (shown above) which is only available from @MerzAesthetics.
