Meet the Team: Dr Paula

We want to give you the opportunity to get to know the Clinetix team! Over the next couple of months, we will be speaking to members of the team so you can get to know them better. Today, we will be speaking to Medical Practitioner Dr Paula Mann BDS.MFDS.MFGDP.

So Paula, tell us a bit about yourself!

Hi guys, my name is Paula and I am one of the Medical Practitioners at Clinetix. I qualified as a Dental Surgeon in 2000 and have a background in cosmetic and preventative dentistry as well as undergraduate teaching.

When I owned my own private dental practice I decided to introduce non-surgical aesthetic treatments to the practice as I found aesthetic medicine complemented cosmetic dentistry perfectly. I had a cohort of established patients who wanted maximum results. Being able to improve balance, in particular, the mouth and jaw area, was extremely satisfying when combined with dental rehabilitation. It was then I found my passion for aesthetic medicine!

What job do you do at Clinetix?

I joined the Clinetix team in 2017, working as a Medical Practitioner between Clinetix West End and Clinetix Mitchell Lane. The following year, I made the life-changing decision to sell my dental surgery to concentrate solely on the practice of non-surgical facial aesthetics.

How have you progressed at Clinetix?

My change in career path to focus on non-surgical facial aesthetics led to an exciting role within the faculty at the Aesthetic Training Academy. Here, I co-develop and host monthly aesthetic training courses for other doctors, dentists and nurses.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

My progression in aesthetic medicine and joining the team at Clinetix has been the most exciting time of my professional life.  As a clinician I always enjoy meeting new patients, spending time getting to know them and together creating a treatment journey that best suits their needs.  It is fantastic to see my patients’ confidence and self-esteem improve.  Rather than having one favourite treatment or procedure, I prefer a combined approach such as anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers which can be used to give really natural results enhancing, not changing, a person’s facial harmony.

What award have you won?

At the end of the year, I was honoured with the prestigious My Face My Body Awards ‘Rising Star of the Year UK’ 2019. This award really was the icing on the cake, I was proud of myself and grateful to the whole team at Clinetix for their help and support.  For me, this was an award for effort and progression to this point, as well as the plans and commitments I have made for the future.  Most importantly it recognises that patients are at the heart of what I do, continually challenging myself and learning in order to provide the best care possible.
