Meet the Team: Dr Claire Dunn

We want to give you the opportunity to get to know the Clinetix team. Today, we will be speaking to the newest member of the Clinetix team, Medical Practitioner Dr Claire!

So Dr Claire, tell us a bit about yourself

Hi, I am Dr Claire and I qualified as a dental surgeon from Glasgow Dental School in 2006. I went on to spend twelve years in general practice, owning and eventually selling a successful Glasgow practice. Since then I have focussed solely on my passion for aesthetics.

What attracted you to the field of aesthetic medicine?

I love the idea of making people feel better about themselves. That’s what the core of aesthetic medicine is to me. Giving people confidence without changing how they look. I knew how I felt when I started to get treatments and wanted to be able to help others feel that way too.

How long have you worked in the medical aesthetics industry?

5 years

What attracted you to join Clinetix?

I trained extensively through the Aesthetic Training Academy and love the Clinetix ethos of subtly restoring a patient’s natural beauty & confidence, helping them feel like their very best self.

What is your favourite treatment to perform?

Cheek filler. The cheek can have such a positive impact on the whole face. And patients love the result.

What treatments do you specialise in at Clinetix?

Anti-wrinkle injections – patients get so much benefit from them in feeling that they look fresher and less tired.

Dermal fillers in the lower face – although subtle, fillers can have a great impact in helping bring the face back to its natural proportions.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding thing for me is seeing someone smile more because the feel happier about themselves. Seeing someone who is new to the world of aesthetics and probably anxious about initial treatment, returning and saying they love it and grinning from ear to ear is definitely the best part.

What are your hobbies and interests?

During my free time I love to exercise. I love swimming, cycling, working out and walking my dog.

I also love just hanging out with my husband and 3 kids, who all usually have to get involved with the cycling and swimming and dog walking.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I actually wanted to be a pilot. I thought it seemed a great job to tour the world and fly a big jet. If you could see me during take off and landing now though, you’d never want me as your pilot!

What would you say your favourite motto is?

I actually have a few…

‘You do you’. Meaning everyone should just do what they want to or think is right in life and not concern themselves with everyone else’s opinion.

I also like ‘be your best self’ and ‘reach for the stars’.

I think a life lived by these mottos is bound to be a good life!

Dr Claire hosts clinics in the Clinetix Bothwell Clinic on Mondays and Fridays.  If you would like to arrange a no-obligation virtual consultation with Dr Claire use our online booking system or speak to our team on 01698 854 221.
