Introductory Course in Dermal Fillers

The introductory course is a comprehensive program aimed at delegates with no previous experience with injecting dermal fillers.  The course is a full day, with a morning spent covering theory and technique, and an afternoon session of practical training, where you will perform treatments under supervision, and observe several procedures undertaken by advanced practitioners and other delegates.

Learning Objectives:

Learn what dermal fillers are and how they work
Understand what can and can’t be achieved with dermal fillers
Learn various injection techniques including linear threading, beading, cross hatching
Learn which dermal fillers to use for different indications
Appreciation of the physiology and anatomy of aging, and how we can correct it.
Specific techniques including treatment of nose to mouth lines, treatment of mouth to chin lines, treatment of lips for rejuvenation and volumisation.
Local anaesthetic techniques, including nerve blocks
Consultation techniques and assessment of lines and wrinkles
What can and can’t be achieved with Dermal Fillers and managing patient expectations
Marketing techniques
Insurance Issues
Price Structuring.

Course Structure:

The course typically follows the outline below.  We always have small groups, between 4 to 6 delegates, to encourage an interactive and personalized format.  Delegates are encouraged to ask questions at all points in the day so the format will differ slightly from day to day depending on what is required.

On Completion of the course delegates receive a certificate that is recognized for insurance by Hamilton Fraser, cosmetic malpractice insurers, and an information pack that provides useful contact details of suppliers.  A copy of the presentations is also provided to all delegates.
